What are my responsibilities?
Analysis of contracts in order to inform management about risks and mitigation measures
Analyzing of and commenting on contracts
Identifying risks
Coordinating with other functions
Provision of contract related advice
Contract Negotiation in order to achieve best possible contract within mandate
Working closely with Business Partners
Actively participating in contract negotiations
Formulation of negotiation strategy
Supporting/contributing to process implementation of strategy in negotiation sessions
Decision making within given authority
Driving Internal processes
Drive the Limits of Authority process and compliance
Ensure all appropriate internal processes and procedures are followed, providing advice and guidance where needed
Data Analysis
Capturing relevant data and developing and maintaining databases
Preparation of presentations based on analysis findings
Creating business oriented formats for analysis
Ensure fast access to information
Standardization of contracts and improvement of processes
Contribute to the standardization of terms & conditions for sales & purchases
Contribute to the improvement, adoption and controlling of risk management guidelines and processes
Drafting new/revising existing contract templates, guidelines and descriptions
Contract Implementation Support
Supporting contractual activities during the execution phase
Preparation of change orders, variations and claims
Passing on risks to corresponding departments e.g. procurement
Ongoing provision of advice
What do I need to qualify for this job?
Degree qualified in Law, Business Administration or relevant Technical Discipline
If not a fully qualified Lawyer will need to have a minimum of 3 years experience in a Contract Management function in an industrial/construction/engineering business
Will need good contractual and business know how
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Excellent standard of written and spoken English
Experience of working in Multi cultural teams
Previous experience of working with Siemens processes on contracts/projects an advantage.
