About the Opportunity

Crude Energy Services has an exciting opening for an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Lac La Biche, Alberta.


As the Project Manager, your primary responsibility will be to deliver and manage large industrial projects, overseeing the overall preparation, quality and accuracy of cost reports, estimates, earned value reports and effective scheduling of the projects.

In this varied role, you will be responsible for:
·    Reviewing plans, specifications, project contracts & documents;
·    Preparing budget costing;
·    Performing mechanical estimating;
·    Resolving site issues and developing solutions to on-site problems;
·    Maintaining adherence to the construction schedule;
·    Liaising with clients, subtrades/suppliers and team members; and
·    Ensuring the safety of all project employees.

To apply for this role, you will need 5-10 years of directly related construction experience with 3 years of project management experience. A strong background in mechanical estimating and scheduling is essential, as is experience in managing projects up to $10M.

In addition, the successful applicant will have an in-depth knowledge of structural, piping and piping systems as they relate to SAGD projects and their applicable codes.

You will given preference if you have a degree in Business, Estimating, Engineering, or Engineering Technology, however a candidate with the right combination of experience will still be considered.
Excellent organizational, technical writing and verbal communication skills are essential to this role.
The successful candidate will be expected to continue knowledge growth and progress with the growing responsibilities of the company. Relocation to an area within close proximity to our our head office is required.
