FACILITIES ENGINEER

Location: AB-Cold Lake, Canada

Responsibilities:
• scope, design and execute installation of deep gas facilities, pipelines and field satellites
• direct Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) firms on detailed engineering work
• provide technical support to Operations in optimizing and designing facility improvements
• ensure all activities align with safety, environment, regulatory compliance and engineering standards
• partner with the Development and Facility teams to establish and maintain project schedules
• conduct lookback and cost driver analysis to maximize economic efficiency
• identify and implement technical innovation to improve efficiency, increase production, and reduce costs for all facility work
• evaluate and award bids for materials and services
Qualifications:
• must be legally entitled to work in Canada
• eligibility for membership with APPEGA or Technologist with 8+ years of oil and gas facilities experience
• demonstrated experience in gas facility equipment and gathering systems
• demonstrated experience in gas compression and an understanding of compression technical details
• ability to resolve gas plant operating issues and develop continuous improvement opportunities
• must have knowledge of ERCB and ABSA pressure equipment regulations as well as some knowledge and familiarity with API and ASME codes
• EPCM engineering experience would be considered an asset
• background in low to medium concentration sour experience is desirable
• strong experience base in development planning and project management
• ability to maintain a good working relationship and mentor other technical team members
• entrepreneurial attitude combined with exceptional technical, analytical, and problemsolving skills
• demonstrated communication, teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• occasional travel to the field is expected
