The Senior Process Control Engineer reports to the Process Engineering Section Head.

Diversity of Processes and operating variables at Asab makes it a challenging Processing facility. Associated gas compression, Refrigeration, Gas dehydration using TEG and mole-sieve, straight and deep NGL recovery, Gas Sweetening, gas compression to very high-pressure for re-injection in addition to the different plant utilities; water conditioning, steam generation and sour water stripping, oily water treatment and injection and flare handling facilities.
Those systems represent a very diversified processing environment in problem identification, analysis and cost-effective resolution of problems are a challenge for the job holder.

He is a member of the Technical Services Department and is responsible for professional, cost effective and timely process control support.

He provides reliable information, so that the Technical Services Superintendent can take actions timely and effectively when required. He advises on subjects that need to be addressed. In addition to this he maintains contact with Operation and Maintenance Dept. Externally he contacts Section heads in Gasco’s Engineering & Technical Support Division, Technical Services providers (e.g. Shell).

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
·         To provide expert Technical support to area maintenance engineers.
·         To diagnose, analyze and carry out root cause failure analysis, highlight reasons for equipment failure and advice on remedial measures to avoid failures.
·         To enforce the implementation of GASCO Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSE-MS) and also promote awareness of its use among all personnel.
·         To identify equipment requiring improvement and modification, prepare scope and implement changes with available resources.
·         To arrange vendor support for resolving complex problems not identified by local sources.
·         To coordinate and prepare annual Operating and Capital budget proposals, as well as 5-year business plan.
·         To review status and follow up on requests associated with Capital and Extra Ordinary Maintenance items.
·         To supervise and execute Extra Ordinary Maintenance work orders with Vendor or First Line Maintenance assistance.
·         To maintain and update a centralized control system failure report files, and analyze data and recommend solutions for abnormal and repeated failures.
·         To ensure maximum utilization of the Maximo CMMS system for equipment history and analysis data.

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS
·         Bachelor Degree in Electronics or Instrument Engineering
·         9 Years Experience
