Oil and gas industry in Norway need the Piping Construction Supervisor to be based in Oslo.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring piping construction activities related to HSE, progress, quality and compliance issues during fabrication and completion activities. Ensuring technical, quality and/or compliance issues are reported, reviewed and resolved in an efficient, controlled and auditable manner through mechanical completion and preparation for commissioning; the Construction Supervisor will be responsible for identifying any deviations from the agreed scope or premises of the project, assessing their impact and ensuring remedial action during the construction planning and execution.
The Construction Supervisor should bring specialist skills and be competent in supervising all work associated with the assigned discipline at both Contractor offices and at the Construction field offices. The Construction Supervisor will conduct motivational duties to enhance the safety, quality and productivity of the project.
Work tasks:
Ensure that Company HSE&Q policies and procedures are adhered to in all phases of the work.
General HSE follow-up and monitoring through HSE reviews and inspections.
Act as a role model for HSE.
Provide constructability input into the piping aspect of the EPC process.
Provide experience input into the piping part of the schedule to ensure a realistic schedule is produced.
Provide technical input to the cost group to fairly assess any contractual claims from the main contractor.
Monitor performance of the EPC contractor on piping construction, fit up, lifting, component erection and testing.
Work with piping inspectors and ensure that the facilities are constructed as per the design requirements and to the quality standard necessary for compliance with Norwegian authorities and Company requirements.
Ensure that all piping construction work is completed on time and within the allocated budget with a “seamless” transfer to the Commissioning team upon successful achievement of Mechanical Completion.
Review and ensure that all lifting and erection operations are carried out in a safe manner to avoid injury to personnel or damage to the asset.
Ensure that all piping tests are properly engineered / assessed and carried out in a safe manner.
Ensure that all piping items are installed correctly and preserved for the duration of the construction period.
Monitor and advise on Valve and Flange management
Monitor and advise of preservation to piping systems
Liaise with Vendors required by EPC Contractor
Preferred Skills*: (Education/Competencies)
Significant experience with construction of large North Sea oil/gas projects.
Competency in piping work with previous experience as a Construction Supervisor Piping.
Working knowledge of NORSOK requirements related to piping construction and installation.
Experience with EPC contracts.
Some experience of and aptitude for working in a diverse cultural environment
