Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering and 2 years of experience which includes field stimulation and single well production optimization/enhancement consulting.
Description:
Access Production Engineers analyze single well performance in field optimization programs. The evaluation of new and existing well completions identifies production gaps through detailed production and completion modeling to demonstrate and evaluate application of current and state-of-the-art oil and gas production optimization practices.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Develop new projects by performing production and completion modeling with onsite-field implementation until project economics are viable.
* calibrate production models using statistical/stochastic models from field production data, detailed analytical and numerical modeling of stimulation-treatments, development of production models using:
o rate-transient analysis, production and fracture-pressure history matching, fracture diagnostics analysis, material-balance calculations, decline curve analysis and forecasting techniques
* perform 3-D numerical fracture modeling using geomechanics and micro-seismic data to calibrate mechanical models together with production analysis techniques in multi-layered commingled systems and horizontal unconventional oil and gas systems
* perform reservoir modeling; provide detailed stimulation/re-completion design and evaluation; perform log analysis and petrophysical-model calibration
* recommend and quantify appropriate oilfield services and technology solutions to optimize well performance
* develop models and case studies for input to business, sales and marketing strategy of well-stimulation, wireline and consulting business groups
* provide quality assurance/quality control, lab-testing, real-time support and implementation for field operations support
* mentor and train junior engineers in technical fracturing and production optimization practices.
