Air Energi are looking for an Instrument Onshore Support Engineer to be based in Aberdeen. This position will be part of a team supporting the ongoing operations of an FPSO’s which is based in Norway.
This is an operations role, and is onshore based with some offshore trips when needed. We need someone who is looking for an onshore position, and you must be either located in Aberdeen or be able to travel to the office within an hour (approximately).
You will need to be flexible, adaptable and ready to deal with the changes and challenges and operations based role such as this one presents. You will need to have a good understanding of the offshore environment and also current legislations.
You will be interpreting the data from the vessel, with a view to resolving the issues and/or contacting the relevant vendors if required.
You will need an understanding of metering , enough to communicate to the sub-contractors but this does not need to be extensive.
This contract will be long-term, with the possibility of going staff.

General Description
• The role will be to provide daily E/I support to the operations team and reporting directly to the Operations Manager.
• Liaise with and support the offshore Electrical / Instrument Supervisor and other departments, i.e. Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, in relation to Instrument, Automation, F&G, Telecommunication and IT Systems.
Duty and Responsibility
• Provide leadership, technical support and direction to the E/I department.
• Responsible for repair and preventive maintenance of Electrical, Instrument and Control systems.
• Provide direction to the E/I technicians to meet objectives in safety, environmental, quality, cost and Client service routinely or during trouble shooting.
• Ensure that plans, schedules and materials are available to allow E/I work to be handled effectively and efficiently.
• Able to communicate (written and verbal) results and action plans as appropriate.
• Manage contacted services as required.
• Provide on call coverage as required.
• Utilise Planned Maintenance System to manage and provide results.
• Ensure Electrical Safe Work Practice compliance.
Salary is negotiable and dependant on relevant experience
