Job Description:

Role synopsis    Position based Offshore on the Drilling Rigs (DSL, DSS and coming DS6)
Reporting to the Wells HSE Team Lead
Day to day reporting to Rig HSE Advisor
Provide HSE assurance and support to the Rig and onshore Wells HSE Team. Primary focus is to influence Safe and Reliable Operations at the site. Interface with BP and Contractor personnel on the assigned Rig (i.e. monitoring activities against HSSE procedures and guidance). Support delivery of both projects and normal operations at the site.

Essential Education    A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent National qualification (preferentially on Technical subject)      
Essential experience and job requirements    • Minimum 2 years work experience related to HSE
• Strong desire to develop a career in HSE field
• Team player – able and capable to inspire colleagues in cross-cultural situations
• Interpersonal skills and proven ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to communicate clearly and authoritatively
• Computer skills
• Organized and punctual
• Ability to work offshore on 28/28 rotation      
Other essential skills and knowledge    Fluent in speaking English      
Desirable criteria & qualifications    • Work experience in drilling or oil industry
• Previous qualification in Behavioral Safety Observation program
• Previous HSE related training
• Training in Risk Assessment, Work Planning and Permitting
• Experience working with a Environmental Management Systems
• Experience in providing presentations to small teams
• Previous HSE systems Audit experience
• Knowledge of HSE Legislation and Regulations
• Understanding of the Major Hazard Management concepts
• Working knowledge of MoC processes and their application in HSE
